Social and humanitarian values constitute the most important aspect of human life. As individuals and parts of the society, children should know of, and embrace as a behavioural pattern, the values of their society including love, respect, responsibility, honour, freedom, doing one’s best, and tolerance. These values, affecting and shaping lives of people, are learned by living and feeling through observations and interactions. In this sense, internalisation of humanitarian and ethical values is an important farm of every educational process.

At our schools, systematic work is put forth to enable our students to become tolerant, fair, confident, and entrepreneurial individuals with highly developed aesthetics and creativity who are aware of and maintain their cultural values and background, act in the borders of love and respect in social relationships, are conscious of their responsibilities, and are able to have a critical perspective.

Every stage of the school offers activities suitable to different ages to enable children to embrace values and transfer them into behaviour. An environment for pre-school children is prepared for them to learn the values by experience through “Where is Kıvrık? Values Training Kit” with stories, puppet work, cards, and posters created by a committee specialised in pre-school education under the Turkish Education Association. In following years, the Values Training programme developed again by the Turkish Education Association is applied for students at all stages until their graduation from high school and they enter real life as one of the elect TED alumni that set examples for the whole society in every field of life. Starting to feel the TED spirit and the qualifications arising from being a member of TED at the Kindergarten, our students will become individuals who will guide a number of people with their commitment to social values when they enter the university after high school.
